great Case easy to set up the internals, wiring is a charm and I'm able to fit in a huge graphics card as well as hard drives and solid state drives
I love the design of my CM HAF 912 and the whole HAF series . perfect for what i want and need. i sure enjoyed building this rig today. yup already finished it was that easy to work on. I dont know why I waited so long to totally build my own computer.
An excellent case that's great for PC gamers who routinely upgrade their hardware

Pros It's Big, It's Bad, It's Beautiful , It's Cool Master , It's very easy to work on and build within it. wide enough for a larger CPU cooler like the Cool Master Hyper 212 evo . feet are tall enough to get airflow underneath for the PSU. plenty of extra fan mounts if needed .
Cons Filters for Fan & vent areas would be nice
Summary I love the design of my CM HAF 912 and the whole HAF series . perfect for what i want and need. i sure enjoyed building this rig today. yup already finished it was that easy to work on. I dont know why I waited so long to totally build my own computer.
Pros -Great airflow as the name suggests. - removable HDD bracket - quiet stock case fans
Cons - No side windows available
Summary It's a great case in all but in my quick haste to buy a case I failed to veiw that thy case was from the last. Intern I can no longer get a window side panel for it, which makes me really sad. But other then my mistakes this is a wonderful case!!
Pros Fantastic case for build for my son. Can five no faults at all. Love the 2.5" mounting cage for ssds. Great price
Cons None at all
Summary Said it all already. This is an awesome case at a great price for a gaming build. Added 2 200mm green fans to top and front. Just trying to figure out what to do with separate led switch leads now. I don't like to hook the switches up and leave then dangling inside. No fan controllers with 2 pin led on/off control anymore so wire them both to a single switch.
Pros -Provides great airflow -Good cable management -Plenty of space for fans -Removeable drive cage for larger GPU's
Cons -Motherboard posts were difficult to screw into (I might just suck) -Stock fans aren't the best quality
Summary This case is definitely good for the price. It provided everything that I was looking for. If you are going to be buying this case, BUY YOURSELF CASE FANS. While this does come with two built in fans, they aren't very good. Invest in some more fans.
-Convenient side facing drive bays made HDD installation simple and easy.
-Looks like it could survive a bomb blast.
-Cable management built in.
Cons -Edges are a bit sharp on the case doors but not a big deal if you are careful.
-No front USB 3.0. Not a big deal if you have 3.0's on the back as you usually wont need a 3.0 on the front unless you are transferring files to and from a jump drive a lot.
Summary I am overall very happy with this case. The cable management behind the HDD bay and Mobo mounting plate made the inside of my setup look like it has no cables in it at all. I would recommend to anyone looking for a sturdy case with tones of airflow and room. The HDD bays are also so easy to install and remove a 3 year old could do it in 5 seconds.
Pros - Affordable price - Solid build quality - Great fan layout - Plenty of air flow - Easy to clean fan screens - Lots of room to work in - Bottom mounted PSU(my first case with this) - Great cable management - Removable HDD rack - Tool free HDD
Cons - None
Summary I really like working with this case. There were no issues finding the room to fit everything I bought.
Some would like to have the front USB 3.0 and I'll admit that would be a great addition, but for me the USB 2.0 is just fine, as the only thing I plug in there is an Xbox 360 controller.
The look of this case is very utilitarian but it has more than some of the more expensive cases on the market. The build quality is very solid and the price can't be beat.
Pros Cheap, Decent Build Quality, Has quite a lot of room.
Cons No USB 3, I hope that they do a revision of this Case as it is the best bang for the buck case on the market in my opinion.
Summary I enjoyed building in this case, it has a lot of the features that a higher priced case would have, with decent amount of space for cable management and longer video cards. I recommend this case for almost all of my tight budget builds as I believe this case has a ton of features for the price, generally around $50. I would love to see this case get a new revision where they make minor changes like adding on board USB 3, etc.
Pros Great low price Simple to build Lots of room and options to the case
Summary I just can not complain about this case. It may not be flashy, but I like the placement of everything inside. I like that I was able to remove some of the drive bays and relocate the 2.5 inch drive bay there. That gave ample room for the cables and everything came together nicely.
Pros Built tough, side loading hard drives, clips instead of screws for HDs, hole for power supply, lots of potential fan mounting for high airflow
Cons None I can tell
Summary Owned one for 4 years now, bought a second one recently. Love the design and all the features it has. Didn't realize how useful the side loading + clip-on for the hard drives were until I built an htpc without one. Lots of room for a tall heatsink and long video card, and filters on the front and power supply so your system doesn't get clogged (obviously you need to clean them periodically). I have no idea about USB 3 on the front panel but I don't ever use it doesn't matter to me.
Pros fairly good at cooling i personally like the industrial rugged look (its not for everyone) looks and feels rather durable i didnt have any issues with accidently bending or cracking the case while installing parts has quite a few clips for hdds etc
Cons comes with 1 front 120mm fan 1 back 120mm fan both non lit or have no speed control rather heavy for its small size especially when your parts are in there with those it gets up to about 36-46 ibs
Summary good case overall i enjoy it was a pleasure to work with dont let the price point fool you to much cause if you want your case to look really sharp your also going to go fan shopping what i personally did was move the 120mm to the side panel bought 2 120mm cooler master led light fans to put at front and a 200mm cooler master red led fan to put at the top so that was around a extra $40 bucks including taxes so overall solid case but if you really want it to be its best you need to invest a few more dollars in it
Pros Low Price Spacious Well laid out and easy to work in Quiet Excellent Air Flow
Cons Not a fan of the styling
Summary This is not the end all and be all case, but it is a very good all around case and amazing for the price. I originally bought one when building a system for my son primarily because it was on sale and included a decent set of fans already. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it's also well laid out, easy to work in, and the stock fans are both MUCH quieter than I was expecting and quite effective.
I've built 2 more systems since and chosen the HAF 912 for both of them as well. I'm not wild about the aesthetic of the case but functionally I have zero complaints and even at normal pricing you will be hard pressed to find something better value wise.
If I could give half stars I would, this is not a 5 star case, but given the price point I think it's a solid 4.5!
Pros beautiful with LED fans and cheap! also great for a rig
Cons no GPU bracket
Summary Everything you need except a GPU bracket, other than that no complaints, it houses a ASUS direct CU II GTX 770 with room to spare for good airflow. has good cable organization route even without a modular PSU.
Pros Price, good looking, removable drive cage for long video cards, 2 fans, both are quiet, able to put rad or 2 120mmfans or 200mm fan on top, extra card slot in back. Lots of room in back for hiding cables. Removable ssd tray near power supply.
Cons no usb 3 on front panel but who cares for the price
Summary Have purchased many cases over the years and this is on of the best for a budget build. Very easy to install parts, especially with the removable drive cage. Lots of room for fans and great airflow. You can't go wrong with this one.
Pros - decent room behind the mobo tray for cable management - works well enough for the price (paid $53 for it) - build a PC using this case for my brother and he's happy with this case (he chose it) so I can't complain about that - comes with a good amount of cable ties. - tool-less solution for the HDD bays work well
Cons - only came with one tool-less bracket for the 5" bays - one side panel had two thumbscrews, but the other had generic screws - only came with two 120mm fans, neither of which are very good - paint job is definitely on the cheap side
Summary Overall, you get what you pay for. This isn't the best case (I have a 650D and I love it), but it does the job well enough with a bit of a rugged, LAN party look. Put some LED fans in there and you've got a not-bad looking case.
Pros Good Size Lots of ventilation Quiet 120mm fans that move lots of air
Cons Could use more fans, and more locks for optical drive slots.
Summary I have owned this case for a day or two now and am quite satisfied. This is a great case for a budget gaming build as the two fans are large and quiet. The only issue I have is that there are lots of spaces for fans to be mounted but no extra fans included. These would be great for the top of the case and the side in front of the board.
There also arent enough lock clips for more than one optical drive. Overall a great case.
Pros - Awesome deal, even at $48, nothing else comes close in the price range - Good cable management, everything is well thought-out - Lots of room for fans - Looks nice, feels solid, has both a 3.5" front slot - Very convenient hard drive cage and access to it.
Cons - Default fans are damn noisy - Too many air holes actually hurt overall air flow as they're both likely to collect dust, and decrease air pressure leading to slower flow - Front cover feels flimsy compared to the rest of the case, scratches easily - No USB 3.0
Summary Just picked this up a few days ago. Nothing much else to say beyond the pros and cons listed above. Best use is probably a gaming case. Not the best office/workstation/home theatre case as it's going to be pretty noisy and distracting.
Summary Got it on sale during Black Friday for 29.99 after Mail In Rebate. Great case for a gaming build. Plenty of room for large components. Only down side is that it seems to attract a lot of dust. Overall a great product.
Summary This is one of the best mid tower case on the market. I got it for only 30$ after mail in rebate on Black Friday, a real steal. There realy nothing i could complain about that case especialy for the price i pay for it.
Pros Middle drive bay is removable for long graphics cards Lots of cable management space
Cons No USB3
Summary This case was a bargain for 40 bucks. The case has alot of ventilation. (HAF: High air flow) This case supports alot of fans, so I can really keep the components nice and cool. There is alot of space behind the motherboard tray, so you can put some thick cables back there.
Pros Price, airflow, easy to use, solid construction
Summary Overall a really good case, simple to use and looks pretty good. The quality of the construction is high and the case has ton of airflow. It also comes with 2 120mm fan. Added a 200mm fan for top exhaust. There is also room for a H100 watercool hit on the top.
Pros Large Lots of room for cable management Plenty of room and mounting spots for lots of fans
Cons Large Old fashioned method of attaching sides Not painted on the inside Edges of holes for cables to go through not protected with rubber Power button is still plastic and may break after a few years of use
Summary Nice case for the price. It is large enough to work in and manage things after you have everything installed. Lots of room for managing cables after everything is installed. Lots of fans can be installed, if you want them. Even has grommets for water cooling.
I would say it is a good medium-grade case, but if you want a more polished look, you will have to spend over $10 for sure.
Pros It is Very high quality and easy to use for its price.
Cons The interiors aren't painted... it would of been nicer if it was painted in the inside, furthermore , it would of been better if there was some LEDs on the fans. The reset button is too easy to accidentally press.
Summary Overall, its a very good looking and high quality case for its price range, only case I can think of better than this, in its price range is maybe the Corsair Carbide series cases.
Cons The inside isn't painted (which I knew before-hand) Loud
Summary The case is loud, and offers budget cooling, but not budget silence. With a 212 EVO and 2 default system fans, then it's going to be one loud system. The HAF 912 is built pretty well, but some of the rubber supporting feet for the power supply fell off.
Pros Lots of space. Great features: tool-less design, 2.5" drive compatibility, removable drive bay, cable management options, lots of cooling options.
Cons Unsatisfactory fan filters. Unpainted interior.
Summary This case comes with outstanding features, especially for the price. There are plenty fan mounts for improved air cooling, and the dimensions make it needless to worry about fitting any tall CPU heatsinks inside (it fits the Hyper 212 Plus and Evo with a bit of room to spare). The top part of the 3.5"/2.5" drive bays can be removed to increase airflow from the front intakes into the case as well as to accommodate large graphics cards. There is a lot of space inside for all your components and for tucking away cables and wires. Cable management is made easy in this case with holes for cables on the motherboard tray and with tie-down points on the backside. There is also enough space behind the motherboard tray to comfortably manage your cables and still put the side panel back on with ease, but it isn't luxurious enough just to leave cables unkempt. Even though this case doesn't come with a side panel window, I still think it would look much better if the interior were painted black (I keep my side panel off sometimes, so I look in there every so often). Most of the case is relatively good quality, but I somehow managed to cut one of my fingers on something while assembling with this case. I don't know exactly what sliced me since I didn't notice I was cut until after awhile, but just be careful!
Cons cheap air filters hamper air flow not enough fans
Summary Nice features, looks powerful, bad air filters. The features are all very nice. Toolless drive bays, some of the drive bays removable, and letter coded motherboard standoff positions incase you're a newbie and might miss one.
Problems are it only comes with 2 120mm fans which don't push enough air and the air filters are so cheap they may hinder your air flow by as much as 50%.
Pros Lots of room, good airflow, nice amount of hard drive bays, great cable management
Cons a little bulky, open fan grills can leave areas exposed, not the most quiet case around
Summary Boy was this case great to build with! There was plenty of room to install all my hardware in and managing the cables around was nice and easy. I could also fit a GTX 680 video card and still having space to keep the additional hard drive trays. Overall I'm very happy with what I paid for this case.
Summary The case is great; 2x200mm/4x120mm fan access points at the front and the top, with an extra fan slot on the side of the case as well. Wish it came painted black, but ah well. Budget cases are budget cases!
Pros -Smaller than HAF 932 -Low Price -Decent cable routing
Cons -Mounting a radiator in the back prevents you from adding a 200mm fan at the top. -Not quiet.
Summary I bought this case because I needed one that was more or less 19 inch in depth to fit in my case compartment of my new desk, went from a HAF 932 to this, wasn't disappointed, other than the fact my second 200mm fan I bought at the same time as this one, to put on top went to waste after installing the Corsair H70, which prevents you from installing a 200m fan at the top, but can still mount a 120mm in the mounting hole for what could be the possibilities of adding a 2x120mm radiator at the top. When my 4 harddrives are spinning, I can hear a small buzzing sound from the case itself, caused by what seems to be the front panel vibrating a little, as when I touch it, the sound stops.
Pros Great looking, massive air flow, good case layout and build quality.
Cons No removable filters.
Summary Great case, I'd buy another one for sure. Good quality all around. I fond it a bit hard to clean though, filters would be a nice touch. I know, it has a grille in the front, not good enough. Foam on a plastic slide in frame would be a nice touch for the front intakes. Just a wish list though, it's still a great case!
Pros Big enough for my 6970HD, Airflow is great. Can have 2x200mm , 1x140 and 1x120.
Cons Case is not painted black, Usually it dosen't matter ,but i got a transparent side panel. They could have put led fans in.. but for the price its great
Summary You can buy a transparent side panel here: http://www.cmstore-usa.com/haf-912-transparent-acrylic-side-window-panel/ . I ordered mine from Ordicentre (quebec) (send them an email) for like 30$ so i didn't have to pay CM store shipping.
Pros Good design, offers a lot of space for hard disk/DVD/... drives. Offers a lot of possibilities for adding fans.
Cons Side panels can easily be damaged if bumped. Doesn't provide air filters to prevent dust to get it.
Summary I appreciated working in this case because it offers a lot of space. But I bumped slightly a side panel and it was distorted. Nothing serious, but appears to be a bit fragile maybe... Also it offers a lot of holes to get a good airflow which is good, but it doesn't provide any air filter, so dust easily gets in.
Summary After using tons of Antec Three Hundred cases I decided for ~$5 I would try the HAF 912 and I was quite impressed by the build quality at $50 price range where this can be PM'ed. I got a couple coolermaster 200 mm fans to go with it that were also PM'ed down to ~$10 each and I really like the finished look. Here’s a linkie to some picks I posted w while back.
Pros PRICE! Nice size. Lots of room inside. Sturdy build. Lots of filtered vents for fans.
Summary This is an excellent case. It feels well built and strong. Some cheap cases feel like your going to break them every time you move them. Not this one. It have many fan vents that all have dust filters on them so lots of venting options. It also includes 2 - 120 mm fans installed. I had no problem installing my new mobo into it and it had good cable management. There is plenty of room inside so there is no problem with big coolers or big video cards. Lots spots for all your drives and stuff too. Plenty of little stuff included, like all different types of screws, adapters and quick releases. I love my case and highly recommend it.
Cons No pull out tray for cleaning the power supply fan on the bottom. No USB 3.0
Summary For the price, this is a great case. I bought one over Christmas for a build for my friend and I was completely satisfied with it. I added a 200mm fan to it and it keeps everything running fairly cool.
Cons - Size.... but not really. - non-black interior - looks may not be for everyone
Summary For the price and the quality that you get, you can't go wrong. On top of that, get this when it is on sale, and you may want to buy more one for future builds.
*note* I'm a non-verified owner. I totally forgot about writing this review and bought this case over a year ago.
I bought it for 34.99 to house a WoW gaming build for a friend so I didn't need anything spectacular. At $35, and getting everything you get ie. CM HAF quality... you really can't go wrong when comparing it to anything else in this price range!
Granted, I do have more cons listed than pros, but the pro outweighs all the cons.
The size was a bit small and building was a bit annoying at the time, but it was just a minor annoyance from working with too many full towers. There was room for cable management so really, what more do you need??
Oh, I know... I would have liked thumbscrews for the PCI expansion slots but again, a minor detail and at this price range, find me another case that offers thumbscrews for everything + all the other perks. I don't even think cases in the sub $50 range have a place for 2.5" drives, seriously.
Non-black interior? Ya, another minor.... Again, sub $50 case with black interiors are a rare find, and I doubt they'd offer 1/2 of that this case has.
The looks... again minor unless you really want that clean look to match a room's aesthetics. *shrugs*
Bottom line: 2 fans, cable management room, sturdy, air flow options... all under $50 You can't go wrong if you care about having options.
Pros -sturdy -looks great -lots of space inside -easy setup for ssd's and hdd's -extra space on the side is great for cable mgmt
Cons -inside paint not matching exterior -Advanced version not available in north america
Summary best comp case for its price range. and i highly recommend it for ease with cable mgmt.
works best if you get 3rd party dust filters (i got myself some from demciflex) for all intake and even outtake fan areas, since i got mine i occasionally check interior for dust and so far have not found any.
Summary Recently helped a friend build a computer with this case. The sales rep recommended this case over the antec 300 so i went with it. I must say for its price, 49.99, its a very nice looking case. Lots of rooms and holes for cable management.
Summary This case is awesome. It is the best case you can get at this price. Do a quick search for PM if you can, maybe save a dollar or two. Purchase the coolermaster 200 mm fans for the front and top for about $20 more.
What can I say about this case? great airflow, smartly designed, comes stock with some nice fans, plenty of space for cable management, includes zip-ties for cable management, it's just a dream to work with. CPU mounting bracket rear window, so you don't have to take the whole thing apart to mount a new cpu cooler.
It's just great, all the way around it is awesome.
Only complaint is that the (lacking) directions show that to remove the front faceplate you only have to unclip three clips, when in reality it is three on each side. C'est la vie...
At this Price Point, it is amazingly the best case you can buy. Believe me, you will not regret this purchase.
Pros AWESOME design! love the space and the fact that I have a hell of a lot of options with this shell!
Cons Haven't had any real use cons, cut my toe on the edge where the power supply goes in though, but that was my fault haha
Summary Perfect shell if you want to build a great gaming machine! My buddy got his HAF, and once I saw it, I wanted it! doesn't have to have a cooling system, but I sure as hell plan on getting one!
The above was my original review after a short duration of using this case. Below is my review after 4 years of using this case.
This case is going to stay with me for a long time coming. I'm actually going to build a stronger PC around this case and just remove the parts currently in it, into another case.
The only problem I've noticed, and its not too much of a biggie considering how GPU's are now, is that for some GPU cards, it can be hard to fit the monitor cable in.
Example: I have a Zotac GTX 750. I cannot plug an HDMI cable into it due to how close it is to the case. I could probably find a thinner cable to do so, but as it stands, I'm stuck using DVI with that card.
As I said, Cards now a days don't go that close to the case with their outputs. At least I hope not. That in mind, I still love this case. There's only a few I'd say is better imo.

Pros Sturdy Nice easy ssd holder Removable HD bay Fit a 6950 with room to spare(11inch pcie card)
Cons 1 or 2 more case fans would have been nice, but it still comes with 2.
Summary Bought this case because I was on a budget. I have no regret, it was easy to work inside of it, not like most cases where my hands are covered in blood after about 10 minutes. (Damn my nord hands) This case was a breeze to setup, all the wires came nicely labelled and the screws, tie wraps, and drive rails came nicely packaged.
All in all this case was a good buy, I would reccomend it to anyone who is on a budget or who just wants a solid case for the 45-70 dollar price range,
Pros Looks nice and standard. Fan can be added on side(left) top rear and front! Making this very cool at the time.
Cons it does not have USB 3.0 on tower but who needs it now when you got tons on the back.
Summary I just opened the box and wow, I don't think anybody would be disappointed. Sturdy build and looks very nice. I was going after $200+ tower but I have not regret getting this at all. Greatest bang for your buck!
Summary This case was everything i was expecting. It is a very good first case for anyone out there who has not built a computer yet. Mostly metal casing makes it very durable. Also for the price, this is the best you can get.
Pros -Very Spacious -Well built -Great price / quality ratio -Space to hide the wires is a huge plus -Very sleek looking
Cons -none really
Summary For the price, you honestly can't go wrong with this case. No flashy lights, no acrylic side panel, just what you need. Has the usual assortment of front panel audio and 2 front USB 2.0 slots, which is much appreciated.
Would definitely buy again if I was building another computer.
Pros lots of room to work in case, dust filters for fan spots, toolless design, easy to pull off panel front
Cons paint scratched off easy, things to hold up PSU from the bottom easily break off
Summary I really like this case. You get an attractive looking, easy to work in case for around $50. Hard to beat that. It has some toolless screws included which are used for the side panel with the fan on it which allows you to quickly get at the inside whenever you need to. I wish they include more toolless screws but I assume that would be the case in their higher end cases. The HAF 912 has a toolless design where you can easily pop in and out your hard drives and media drives in a matter of seconds. I never had this feature before but after experiencing it I will never go back to cheaper, less featured cases. The HAF 912 includes some fans but I recommend you replace them with nice LED type fans (I have the CM Megaflows with red LED) as it makes the case look outstanding as the meshed front and the top panel really brings out the LEDs in a very nice way. The included fans may be of good quality (can't confirm this) but I just had no use for them. The HAF 912 has some negatives despite being a very good case. I found the paint scratched off easily when I moved it for just a short few seconds on a ceramic floor. I wish it had a coating of sorts to protect it but clearly it does not. The HAF 912 also has flawed support in the bottom of the case for the PSU as it is supposed to elevate it but the things put there are not solid plastic but rubber and break apart easily possibly leaving you with no way to elevate the drive. They should have been made of molded pastic or more solid rubber and have been secured to the case in a better fashion.
Pros Great case. Amazing looks as well as a great price point. the easy install harddrives are great too.
Cons Rubber feet for PSU easily break.
Summary This has been one of the best cases I have ever purchased. I'm very much liking how easy it was to setup. It comes with quite a bit of extras as well such as a 2.5inch harddrive bay and quite a few harddrive bays. It also has an easy lock mechanism for the CD drive
Pros Nice and Big,plenty of room for expansion, really nice cable management spots.
Summary This case is amazing... nice thumb screws for easy access to work on your computer. Many expansion slots for your SSD's or HDD's which by the way are extremely easy to mount. To top it off it has many spots for fans which all come with screens to help keep the case/your computer really clean and a nice spot for the PSU.even if this is the lowest of the HAF series it is still really great. I would Highly Recommended this case to anyone wanting to build a gaming rig that is on a budget!!!
Summary This case has very nice cable management and it has enough room to fit even the longest graphics cards (it has removable HD cage). I really like how the middle hard drive cage and 2.5" HD cage are removable. They allow you with some customization which I find is pretty nice for a case of this price.
The quality of the case is pretty good as expected but I would have preferred that the interior or at least the back is painted black. There were some black smudges on the inside of the left panel but it didn't hurt my case so I didn't complain.
All in all, this is a very nice case for the price point.
Summary This is a very good case with a nice price, it pretty much has all the feature you will need. The instruction manual is very simple to follow for first time builder. It also include all the screws and accessories you will need in the future. It fits my Hyper 212+ dual fans without problem (you would need a low profile ram though). But please for your own sake, always check your item before you throw the boxes or receipt away. I got my case with a scratch on the side and it was touched up and covered with black marker so I didn't notice at first. In my opinion, coolermaster have great product but very poor quality control.
Pros Small but lots of space Easy mounting of drives Easy cable management Big window for CPU cooler installation on the back
Cons No very good looking inside
Summary I got this case 3 weeks ago and I am very pleased with it. There's a lot of room for all the components and many additional fans. Really great, well worth the money. This is the case to go if you are on a budget.
Pros -good price relative to other cases -good cable management capabilities -stylish and comes in black
Summary This case is a mid priced case by Coolermaster. It's cheap compared to other cases and has very good cable management capabilities which means maximum airflow. It's very easy to put install your new PC into it and comes with two fans (one in the back and one in the front). The case looks stunning in real life. Highly recommend it.
Pros Many features normally reserved to top line cases, a lot of 12cm fans, cable management, removable dust filters, no screw mounting hard drives and DVD and so on.
Cons Only 2 fans. The 2 fans are noisy even at low speed for someone like me who wants silence. No way to remove the dust filters without opening the case. I'm also having a hard time to remove and put back the right side panel. Only one no-screw DVD.
Summary I have to say I didn't think we could have a case like that at this price. I normally don't shop for that, but I replaced my power supply and I needed a case where the power supply is at bottom. I also wanted bigger fans. This case was recommended by a few ones and the reviews were all positive, so I took it without hesitation.
The big thing with this case for me was the cable management. I had zero management in my previous case. It took 2 evenings to assemble everything (that includes removing pieces from the old case). It now looks pretty neat. I spent more time on the hard drives, simply because I got 4 SSD (2.5in) and 1 HD (2.5in also). The 2.5 to 3.5 adapters were not working with the no-screw adapters that came with the case. Fortunately, there was a hole on the no-screw adapters. I have put screws in the other side of the 2.5 to 3.5 adapters and the screws were long enough to get into the hole. After that I was really happy, I first thought I would need duck tape, fortunately there was a solution.
The rest went smooth. As said in Cons, there is only one no-screw adapter for the DVD and I got 2 DVD, so I had to use screws.
One last thing. With the side panels installed, when I turned on my computer, if I would let the case fans run at 100%, the front dust filter would be sucked by the powerful fans (Enermax twister bearing) and this creates noise because of the fans touching the air filter. I had to use the screws that maintains the front grid with washers to tighten the dust filter.
Hope this will help in your shopping. I know it was long but it had to be said.
Pros Well built, easy to work with, a lot of room (wide enough for tower coolers,) good internal layout, fits 7 fans, light weight, rugged looks, the water-cooling grommets are soft, motherboard cut-out lets you work with coolers with back-plates without having to remove the motherboard
Cons Limited room for cable management if you have a lot of cables. It's hard to think of anything wrong with the case though.
Summary I read a few for this case before placing my order. It was well recommended and I recommend it too for a good-size mid-tower case that isn't too tall and fits a lot of stuff.
Despite being roomy and easy to work with, and having rounded edges, I still managed to cut myself three times while working inside. I tend to do that a lot though, so it could just be me.
There's plenty of room inside, and you can remove the extra. If you have a lot of cables, getting everything in the back and out of the way might be tricky.
I was able to get almost everything tucked away, so this is my "cleanest" case yet. It comes with tie wraps and things to help you organize. The HDD holders are great and easy to use.
Summary At the price point the case offers plenty of room, good choice of accessories, looks very presentable. Options for lacement power supply (bottom), drives, optional fans and lorge CPU coolers are good. I added two Coolermaster Megaflow 200 mm fans (front and top) and placed the original front 120 mm fan on the side wall. The air flow is excellent keeping all components cool and the fans are very quiet. Practically any system should fit with ease in this case. Check one of the case reviews, they are very informative.
Pros -Cable Management. -Room for 200MM fans on top and front. -Small and light, much better for LAN parties. -Looks really nice on outside.
Cons -Inside and rear isn't painted black. -With a 200MM fan mounted on top, there is not enough room for any of the corsair H series coolers.
Summary I love this case. Originally I pieced together a computer for a friend using this case, it was the first time I ever put together a computer using a case with cable management, it changed me. After being spoiled by that my Inwin Maelstrom just didn't cut it anymore, upgraded to a Coolermaster 935 almost a week later, and soon after that I upgraded my secondary computer with this case from a Thermaltake V3, for almost the same price as the V3. Coolermaster makes some of the greatest cases around today.
Pros - Great value - Tons of options and space - Solid construction and quality for the money - Decent cable management options
Cons - No window (a con for some) - Not too many fans provided - Looks might not be that great
Summary For what you pay for this case, there are few who can offer what CM does with the HAF 912. It's a bit of an ordinary case, but for budget builds, that's not supposed to be an issue. It was easy building a system in one - although I recently built another system with the Zalman Z9 Plus and found that one to be a slightly better case to work with and a bit better looking. Overall, you can't go wrong with this case.
Summary I got this case with my last build. I'm quite happy with it. My only complaint is that I wish it came with enough fans for all the slots, but that's not a big deal. Great value for a great case!
Pros Well built Impressive Cable routing options Quiet Fans with dust filters Support for water-cooling OOTB Built in SSD drive support Modular HD Cage to support 11"+ graphic adapters Almost tool-less install
Cons Not Painted interior 2 120mm fans as opposed to 200mm found in plus model No dust filter on side panel intake
Summary I really can't think of a better case at this price point - especially as this case can be had for less than $50 on sale or PM
Pros - It looks better than the pictures show. - Comes with two relatively silent fans, space for a lot more of them - Cable routing holes
Cons - I guess big cases take a lot of space?
Summary Excellent case for the price. It does not come with lots of fancy options for installing hdds and optical drives but depending on your equipment swapping frequency this might not be a problem at all. The space between the motherboard tray and the backpanel is a bit on the smallish side however.
Summary i bought this case a day ago and like it alot only bad thing is it didnt come with the top fan like the haf 922 but for the price cant expect to much. i really like the case so far i currently own a haf 922, and now a haf 912 for my older LGA775 cpu quad core.
Summary Wow. Lot's to say about this case. Additional and variable fan options are a big plus. Either 2x 120mm or 1x 200mm fan for the top is great. Side doors slide in and out smoothly. Highly recommend!
Cons -let a lot of air in but a lot of noise out -all the hole everywhere let a lot of dust in make sure to clean your case often
-laisse entré beaucoup d'air mais laisse sortir beaucoup de bruit -tout cette aération laisse entré beaucoup de poussière nettoyer votre boitier souvent
Summary this is way better than my old case, it keep my system 4 degree cooler and my cpu 3 degree cooler. + It look great. best quality for the price
Pros Ramarkable value, feels sturdy, lots of features.
Cons Some may dislike its look.
Summary Remarkable value for the price. It feels fairly study and has pretty much all features you could ask for (one tool-less 5.25" bay, motherboard backplate hole, cable management holes, plenty of cooling capability). Paired with red LED fans, matching power and hard drive activity front LEDs, you've got something looking fairly good (says someone who like Fractal R3's look). I could blame a certain lack of cable management options, but it is overall an outstanding case.
Summary Considering how much this thing costs, I was surprised at how well constructed this case was. The 5.25 bay covers are easily removed as well as the front panel. The case comes with a 2.5 HDD rack which should come standard nowadays. The cable management is similar to the Lian-Li setup. The metal density isn't the best but it is not flimsy at all. So far this is the best cheapo case I've put my hands on.
Pros Looks Great Good room for upgrades Good airflow
Summary I bought this case for a budget build gaming PC. When I got the case everything was fine no scratches dents or anything. The case itself keeps everything nice and cool with just the 2 120mm fans that it comes with. It has really good airflow, and has resulted in a nice and quiet build.
Summary this case is great for a budget gaming build. has room for all my components, love the amount of fan options. fit my 6870 no problem. only downside is that my WD Caviar Black is pretty noisy in there and if you use intake fans on the grills get quiet ones if your like me and hate noise.
Cons -could not fit my cooler (Coolit ECO) with the optional top 200mm fan -flimsy construction/no sound dampening at all(for price;to be expected) -included fans are loud
Summary went from a P182 to this. it's a downgrade, but it does have it's strong points. It has really good airflow and the price is really good for what you get. The downsides are that it's loud since theres so many ventilation holes. the stock fans are really loud and of inferior quality. I use a CoolIT ECO cooler, and with this installed you can't mount the optional 200mm fan on top, or youre restricted to just 1 of 2 120mm fans. bummer. it has holes for the 200mm to fit as front intake which is a plus. construction is flimsy but still durable, and cable routing is quite easy, very good for this price. overall i'm not exactly thrilled, but it's more then decent.
Pros Bang for buck Pretty good amount of space Cable management
Cons Heavy (Hardly an issue unless you lan alot) Looks (subjective)
Summary This is my first build in a long time. I was using crap cases before and really didn't put a lot of thought into cooling, expansion and longevity. So far, for the price, this is an absolutely fantastic case. I don't know how people have trouble with cable management with this case. It may not be the roomiest back there but I have the cables from my p/s running to the backside and have no problems at all. I'm not a HUGE fan of how it looks but I dont hate it. End of the day, I don't regret buying this case at all. I won't but one for future builds, but I'll keep this one in service for a long time.
Cons - flimsy build - not enough space for cable management - thumb screws on only one side panel
Summary It's an okay case. Bought this with 2x 200mm Cooler master fans at a local shop. The cooling potential is quite good, but the build quality is very flimsy. the side panel isn't secured very tightly. Also, there is not enough space on the back side-panel for managing cables. It takes a lot of effort to close the case with the 24pin atx cable. For the price, it's not bad and gets the job done. but i won't be getting this case again.
Pros Cheap, good looking, spacious, descent cable management, superb airflow
Cons no usb 3.0 sockets,only 1 tool-less drive bay
Summary I pricematched this for $47!!Super cheap for this awesome case, best bang for your buck. I added one 200mm fan on top for exhaust and two 120mm fans front and one p rear and one p side panel. I must say airflow is amazing. Cable management is descent as long as you get a modular psu. I really can't complain, although i wish it had a side window to show off the interior.
Pros Affordable, mid tower, nice design and overall great case. Compared to all the other cases in this price range it is simply the best.
Cons None so far.
Summary I have used many different cases in many builds such as the Antec 300 and CM690. For this price range it is the best you can get. It has a lot of slots for fans and enough space for cable management behind the motherboard. It looks well designed and solid.
Pros - large, durable/solid - lots of space for extra HDDs/ODs/SSDs - space for several extra fans - some modularity in terms of placement of your extra HDDs - can remove stuff for long video cards or PSUs
Cons - prefers 90 degree SATA wires for HDDs - wish there was a firewire/esata connector in the front panel
Summary All in all, I was pleased with this case. It had space for 3x 5.25" + 1x 5.25"/3.5" external, and 6x 3.5" internal bays.
Only major complaint was, if you were going to place your HDDs crossways (default option), the power and SATA wires woul need to be 90 degrees type, otherwise it will require some bending to be able to close the side doors.
Would have been nice if they'd given more of the Tool-Free drive holders.
Well thought out bits, like the extra slot for another external bracket. Better than most at this price range.
Pros Great airflow Tons of room Great build quality Cheap
Cons Lack of included fans.
Summary I PMed this to about $50 and without a doubt this case provides the best bang for your buck. I wish it came with an additional fan or two, but for the price I don't consider it to be too much of an issue. Lots of room for cable management, and the build quality is solid. I would definitely recommend this case.
Pros Lots of air flow. Price is good especially when it is on sale Overall good quality Lots of room
Cons Do not include 230mm fan
Summary Air flow is my primary concern when I was building my pc. After a lot of research through internet, I bought this case because its 2X230mm fan position. I also ordered two 230mm case fan and put them together. Super excellent air flow! At 50$ price, it has the MAX air flow.
Pros Mid size but 'roomy' Attractive design Fairly quiet Great cable management Large CPU heat sink cutout on mobo tray Great cooling Water cooling ready Sturdy Price
Cons A few sharp edges inside (careful) Optical drive rail locking system play No dust filters included Not painted inside like the Plus
Summary This case is better than I expected for the price. It has a solid feel and putting it all together was a pleasure with great cable management and screwless drive rails. I had plans to paint it inside at first but couldn't wait but that's okay since it's windowless anyways. Besides a few little nags I'm really happy with this case!
Summary I have nothing but positive things to say about this case. It as plenty of room and good cable routing measures. More drive bays than I can fill with my build and the screw less drive rails are superb. This is not my top case for mid end builds.
Pros Modular, lots of room for large video cards. amazing airflow. external air for PSU. 200mm fans!!
Cons none for me
Summary Great case. center hard drive cage came out with a couple screws easily. bought the 200mm fans, great addition. didn't use the included 120mm's, but heard they dont move alot of air. temps dropped a good 5 degrees across the board. Tool-less drive clips feel solid, and click into place firmly.
Pros Lots of space, great ventilation, tool-free design, removable/adjustable harddrive bay, SSD drive compatible
Cons I cant find any yet!
Summary This case is excellent for the $50 price I paid. Tons of room inside, and the quality is great. Theres room for up to 6 120 mm fans and its easy to clean. I have an XFX 5830 installed in here with no problems in terms of space. I like that it has its own 2.5" drive bay for SSD drives.
Pros Great cable management for a smaller case Good ariflow Tooless design with one exception.
Cons Tooless installation for the Optical drive WAY too loose. Need to use screws to stop rattle Lack of included fans
Summary Bought this case for a co workers build. very happy and impressed with the quality of the build. Lot's of openings in the motherboard tray for cable management. Tooless design is nice, with the exception of the optical bay. Highly reccommend using screws to stop rattle
Pros Cheap. Sturdy. Good Air Flow. Fits larger Cards.
Cons No tool installation clips for internal drives are easy to use but rattle too much. I would suggest using good ol screws.
Summary Exelent Case. I bought it on sale for 50. Compared to another case i bought last year for 40 this one is worlds apart. I instantly noticed a difference in quality. The built in ridges and plastic make this case much more sturdy. The thermaltake v3 i bought could be bent with my pinky finger (literally). The material and design of this case would be more expected in the 100 dollar price range. Bang for buck i think i will build all of my budget pcs with this baby. The only other thing i can think of is that this thing is a beast. I was shocked at the size. Sure its not that tall or long but its insanely wide i suppose for all those big heatsinks. Excelent. Awsome. Would strongly Recomend for mediocre builds.
Summary I bought this case to go along with an upgrade of my PC and man is this ever a solid case. Airflow is great, I mean I only have three fans installed in the case and my temps are low, low, low. Cable management is also excellent, got all component cables nestled freely out of the way which also helps achieving those low temps. Big, roomy and lots of room for expansion. You can't go wrong with this case in either price or quality. Get this now!
Summary Bought this for my gaming system and it's freaking fantastic. If you're building a gaming system and don't want to spend too much on the case, then this is the best case to get. Has enough holes to route all the cables in the back. Removable cages to fit any size video card (fits my 6950 no problem and it's 10.5"). Ended up adding two megaflow fans to increase the air flow (one in the front and one on top). This is far superior to the Antec 900 which was a pain in the ass to work with.
Pros - Cheap - Relatively well built - Roomy - Looks great!
Cons - No USB 3.0 support
Summary I have used this case in the computer of a friend and I was pleasantly surprised by its built quality. I did not encountered any space issue. The airflow is acceptable and it could be improved by adding one or two fans. In summary, this is case is perfect if you are on a tight budget.
Pros Good cable management Repositional HD cage with easy mounting clips Looks nice with loads of ventilation
Cons Motherboard mounting posts were the wrong thread!
Summary Only concern with me were the gold mounting clips for the motherboard...the thread was to fine and my mounting screws would not screw into them. Had to use the posts from my old setup. Kind of an odd problem and from other posts it sounds atypical; Ive never run into this before with many previous MB/case builds. Not a big deal but if you are starting from scratch you may not have any other posts hanging around and be stuck.
Other than that a good looking, good working case with lots of air flow and pretty good cable management.
Pros great case love psu vent on bottom easy to get everythng in also love hard drive rails
Cons rear exhaust fan isnt working ive tried a couple different cables and its just not working the psu im using is brand new out of box. i assume its just a faulty fan the cables ive u sed power other coolermaster fans i bought as extra for the side and front so its fot to be the fan itself,
Summary other than rear fan not working, its a great case ive had the antec two hundred, this is better, ive had antec 900 first version this is better, had a secodn antec 900 version 2 this is better, had the antec p180 i do like the p180 but for the price this is better,
Pros - Spacious, solid build - Best case for this price - Extremely versatile, can move mounting bays around - Great cable management - Full metal case, no lame plastic side panel
Cons - Haf 912 plus not available in Canada, which comes with 200mm fans, esata in the front, and more screw-less mounting bays - Should have a bigger opening behind motherboard for mounting 3rd part CPU cooler -
Summary PMed this for $50 and loves it. Not only does it look awesome, it owns other more expensive cases when it comes to functionality. I don't think one can get a better case for $50, especially if you build the computer yourself. Highly recommend!
Pros Nice clean look, but with a bit of style Great value, especially when on sale for ~$54 Plenty of room for more fans
Cons No dust filter for top or side fan vents
Summary Picked this up on sale for $54 for my first build. Very nice case for the price, I would say. Comes with 2 fans (one intake on the front, one exhaust on the back) and room for another front fan, 1 140mm top fan (or 2 120mm), and a 120 or 140 side fan - plenty of ventilation if you plan on OCing.
Has cable management options, and although they aren't extensive, it's better than nothing. I just wish that the top and side fan vents came with dust filters like the front, because they'd make nice intake points for cool air to the CPU and graphics cards.
Comes with plenty of easy-mount rail things for mounting 3.5" harddrives, which work great, as well as a quick-install setup for a single optical drive (though you could get more somewhere I suppose)
Pros - Looks fantastic in my opinion - Good airflow - Flexible interior (hard drive cage, 2.5" SSD cage, 200mm or 120mm fan capable)
Cons - MB tray doesn't seem to be far away enough from the case so my MB power cord is reasonably snug against the case. - Not much space behind the MB tray to store extra PSU cables out of the way (like the Antec 300)
Summary Pretty decent case for the $50 range. I would buy again but it's not without its faults (as most cases are in this range).
Pros Airflow, roomy interior, price, ease of installing parts.
Cons 200mm fans don't come with it No option for the side window
Summary Excellent price for what you get at $53Cdn. 200mm can be price matched and once installed - super quiet system. Rebuilt components from a HAF 922 and this sounds quieter with the 200mms installed - video card and power supply the same, using a noisier Zalman 9500 heatsink as well. Strange. Wish there was an option to purchase the Side window panel that ships with the Advanced version of the case - jealous of those AP guys. Starting to be not a fan of all these "tooless" clips and parts - they tend to break if not positioned properly and force is used. YMMV. "Retro" system: Q6600, Zalman 9500, 8800GTS 512MB SLI, 60GB SSD, 1TB WS Black, 1.5TB WD Green, 8GB DDR2
Summary It's a decent case for a budget gaming build. High air flow design helps keep the components on the inside cool. The case looks okay, although the plastic bits on the front make it look a bit clunky. Would likely get again, but for budget builds, it mostly comes down to what is on sale.
Pros Great Solid Case for a budget Build Price - Best Case for the price Accessories Looks functionality
Summary Great Solid Case for a budget Build, Ive used the azntec 300 before and will never again.
I just used this in a customers gaming build, this outclasses the antec 300 by miles, for the same price, cable management was great, Install was easy. removable HDD cage awesome feature.. I Highly recommend this case if you are in the 50 budget range. accessories galore (tooless HDD, DVD, and SSD !!! you really cant go wrong with this case. why are you still reading this go buy it!!
Its part of this build:
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W
Motherboard: ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AM3 DDR3 AMD 890GX
