Front Panel Audio:  User expend Front Panel Audio connector on your PC case with STRIKER 7.1 Front Panel Audio. And it supports link detection automatically. With the front panel audio enabled, users can connect a second microphone without any reduction of input signal levels.
Front Panel Audio function supports auto detection of resistance levels. When a user connects headphones to the Front Panel Audio, the analog outputs of the sound card will be muted automatically while connecting computer speakers will not mute the analog outputs. This advanced feature checks the impedance level of the device connected to the Front Panel Audio. Headphones have higher resistance levels than typical computer speakers

I actually prefer this one to my Xonar DX for an HTPC. it has crisp clear sound, doesn't require an extra power and is PCI instead of PCI-E. It has the bells and whistles along with an optical out for my system. Great HTPC / all around card.      » READ MORE

I just received this card the other day, and I can't believe how clear the sounds is. I used to use a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic, and then I went and replaced it with the Striker. The difference is like night and day. It's like watching SDTV vs. HDTV.       » READ MORE

This sound card was purchased because I had become absolutely frustrated with onboard audio in Vista Business 64-bit with my DFI Blood Iron Motherboard. I was wary when I tried a non Creative Soundcard, but I regret nothing, the sound quality is fine after EQ adjustments. This is a great all-around card, and I recommend it if a Creative Soundcard doesn't suit your needs.      » READ MORE

For the price, this is a great sound card. Clear improvement over onboard sound. If you don't desperately need EAX in your games, this is a good a buy as any.      » READ MORE

I have used this card for a few weeks now, definately improved volume andsound quality over on-board audio. Simple enough to install, make sure you set up speaker configuration, ie..5.1, and let her rip.       » READ MORE

like others with the p5k-e asus mobo the on board sound has too much interferance . I replaced the onboard sound with the striker which works well with the 50 ft spdif optical cable hoocked up to my living room surround sound in xp but i still have issues in vista 64 . movies and games sound great .mp3s sound great as well .      » READ MORE

My Sondigo Inferno card decided to crap out on me after just under a year, so I bought a Creative Labs XFi card to replace it thinking it should be okay. Well, the Creative Labs card sucked ass, so a few days later (I didn't bother returning the Creative Labs card) I bought the HT Omega card, and I've been happy enough with the performance and quality, for the price I paid for it.       » READ MORE

A great sound card, I'm using it to output to a Yamaha receiver via optical, and everything sounds fantastic. It was very easy to install on XP Pro SP2, and hasn't given me any issues at all. A great sound card!      » READ MORE
