Comment: The Q6600 and QX6700 quad-core processors are amazing even when they are just two Core 2 Duo processors under the one roof. Ideally, a dedicated 8MB L2 cache could have made these quad-core processors even better, however for this to happen Intel would have had to re-engineer the processor from the

Comment: Anandtech.com reviews the G0 stepping in comparison to the B3 stepping. Conclusion: Don't cry about not getting a G0, the B3 is just as good.

A great CPU to overclock. This CPU is fast and you won't need an upgrade in 1-2 years. This is a good CPU to buy before the i7 becomes more mature      » READ MORE

This is a great cpu, especially for the price. The quad cores are fantastic, they make multi tasking so much easier. I'm doing a ton of things at once right now. The stock cooling is not the best, but you can't expect the best wuth that anyways. The fan is alright, processor is not loud at all.       » READ MORE

great cpu, four cores are really noticeable when doing multiple apps at once, was able to oc it to 3.6 on air with each core's die never going over 35 on idle and dont go over 55. my heatsink is HUGE so don't expect to get these temps at this clock speed if you dont have a better-than-stock cooling unit.      » READ MORE

I am upgrading from a single core 1.7Ghz laptop and this thing is incredible. I can rip music, encode video files, install stuff while watching a movie. I love it. I wish Windows could spread the work more evenly as some cores get loaded while others don't, but whatever. This CPU rocks plain and simple.      » READ MORE

I always like buying a chip thats well proven and reliable, and later revisions are always better for stable overclocking. Theres no doubt its a great chip with a lot of overclocking potential. Nothing bad to say about this chip, other than that given the time its been out and the newer chips available, youd think it would go down in price a little.      » READ MORE
